Major-General Claude Martin was an officer in the French, and later the English East India Company's army in India. He rose to the rank of major-general in the English East India Company's Bengal Army. Martin was born in Lyon, France, into a humble background, and was a self-made man who left a substantial lasting legacy in the form of his writings, buildings and the educational institutions he founded posthumously. There are now ten schools named after him, two in Lucknow, two in Calcutta and six in Lyon. The small village of Martin Purwa in India was also named after him.

David Hall was an American lawyer and politician from Lewes, in Sussex County, Delaware. He was an officer in the Continental Army during the American Revolution, and member of the Democratic-Republican Party, who served as Governor of Delaware.

David Lowry Swain was the 26th Governor of the U.S. state of North Carolina from 1832 to 1835.

Louis Folwell Hart was the seventh Lieutenant Governor of the state of Washington and was the ninth Governor of Washington state from 13 February 1919 to 12 January 1925. He is most remembered for reorganizing the state's administrative structure by reducing the number of agencies and the consequent financial economies.

Wei Nan is a male badminton player from Hong Kong. He was a member of Hong Kong team in 2014 Thomas & Uber Cup. He became the first men's singles medalist for Hong Kong by winning a bronze medal in 2014 Asian Games.
