In the mid-2000s, he was employed as a lecturer by the physics department of King's College London.

That year he quit COPE to launch with Federico Jiménez Losantos a liberal radio, esRadio. He had applied to become a Justice and Development Party (AKP) parliamentary candidate in both the 2011 and June 2015 general elections, but was unsuccessful on both occasions.
