Georg Friedrich Louis Stromeyer was a German surgeon. He was born and died in Hanover. He was the son of surgeon Christian Friedrich Stromeyer (1761–1824).

Jost Vacano, BVK is a retired German cinematographer. He was the cinematographer of Das Boot and he also worked together with director Paul Verhoeven on seven films, including RoboCop and Total Recall. He was also the cinematographer for The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum which he considers his favorite of his own films due to its timeless political message.

Horst Hächler is a German actor, film producer and director. He was married to the actress Maria Schell from 1957 to 1965.

John Berlinger Breaux is an American attorney and retired politician who was a member of the United States Senate from Louisiana from 1987 until 2005. He was also a member of the US House of Representatives from 1972 to 1987. He was considered one of the more conservative national legislators from the Democratic Party. Breaux was a member of the New Democrat Coalition. After his congressional tenure, he became a lobbyist, co-founding the Breaux-Lott Leadership Group. The firm was later acquired by law and lobbying firm Patton Boggs, now Squire Patton Boggs.
