Leonid Arkadevich Taranenko is a former Soviet/Belarusian weightlifter and coach. His 266 kg clean and jerk in 1988 is the heaviest lift in competition, though it is no longer an official world record due to subsequent restructuring of weight classes.

Kristján Lúðvík Möller is an Icelandic politician. He has been Iceland's Minister of Communications from 2007 to 2010, and a member of the Althing from 1999 to 2016, for the Northwest Iceland constituency (1999–2003) and the Northeast Iceland constituency (2003–2016). He is the older brother of Alma Möller.

Robert Schneider is an Austrian writer, who published novels including Schlafes Bruder, texts for the theatre, and poetry. His works have been translated to many languages. Schlafes Bruder became the basis of a film, a ballet, an opera and several plays, and received international awards. Schneider withdrew from writing in 2007.

Chavarat Charnvirakul is a Thai politician. He had served as an Acting Prime Minister of Thailand as a result of the 2008 Thai political crisis.
