Lorraine Lévy is a French screenwriter, film and stage director, and playwright. She is the sister of writer Marc Levy.

Yves Bot was a French magistrate who served until his death as Advocate General at the European Court of Justice.

Cécile Reims was a French engraver and writer. She was a resistance member of World War II. She received the Legion of Honour in 2013. Reims died in La Châtre on 18 July 2020, aged 92.

Germaine Kerjean (1893–1975) was a French stage and film actress. She spent a decade with the Comédie-Française. In films she frequently played character roles.

Charles Pélissier was a French racing cyclist, between 1922 and 1939, winning 16 stages in the Tour de France. The number of eight stages won in the 1930 Tour de France is still a record, shared with Eddy Merckx and Freddy Maertens (1976). In addition to his 8-stage wins that year, Pélissier also finished second place 7 times. In the 1931 Tour de France after stage 5, he shared the lead for one day with Rafaele di Paco. Pélissier was the younger brother of racing cyclists Francis Pélissier and Henri Pélissier. Pélissier was born and died in Paris.

Nicole Duclos is a French former track and field athlete who competed in the 400 metres. She broke the world record for the event in 1969, running 51.77 seconds to become European champion in 1969. She also shared in a world record in the 4×400 metres relay. She represented France at the 1972 Summer Olympics and was a three-time national champion.

Olga Givernet is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who has been serving as a member of the French National Assembly since the 2017 elections, representing the department of Ain.

Ariane Mnouchkine is a French stage director. She founded the Parisian avant-garde stage ensemble Théâtre du Soleil in 1964. She wrote and directed 1789 (1974) and Molière (1978), and directed La Nuit Miraculeuse (1989). She holds a Chair of Artistic Creation at the Collège de France, an Honorary Degree in Performing Arts from the University of Rome III, awarded in 2005 and an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Oxford University, awarded 18 June 2008.

Nassim Akrour is an Algerian footballer and coach who currently plays for Chambéry and coaches the youth team at Annecy, whom he represented as a player between 2016 and 2019. At international level, he has represented Algeria, earning 18 caps and scoring six goals between 2001 and 2004.
