Gyo Obata is an American architect, the son of painter Chiura Obata and his wife, Haruko Obata, a floral designer. In 1955, he co-founded the global architectural firm HOK. He lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and still works in HOK's St. Louis office. He has designed several notable buildings, including the McDonnell Planetarium and GROW Pavilion at the Saint Louis Science Center, the Independence Temple of the Community of Christ church, the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois.

José Renato Rabelo is a Brazilian politician and physician. He was the national president of the Communist Party of Brazil from 2001 to 2015. In 1965 he was the president of the Union of Students of Bahia, but his management was interrupted by the military regime, forcing him to live in clandestinity.

José Isidro Gonçalves Maciel is a Portuguese cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Delko. He rode in the 2015 Vuelta a España. His biggest win to date was the overall at the 2016 Tour of Turkey. He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. In July 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Tour de France.
