Elisabeth Neumann-Viertel was an Austrian actress who started her career in Germany during the 1920s. Under the Nazi regime she emigrated to the United States, where she appeared on the Broadway and in a few Hollywood movies. She later returned to Germany, where she worked with numerous successful theatres of Berlin, among them Fritz Kortner's Berliner Bühnen. Neumann-Viertel was also a notable character actress in films and television, although she seldomly played a leading role there. She retired in the late 1980s after nearly 70 years of acting. Elisabeth Neumann-Viertel was the second wife of film director Berthold Viertel.

Otto Tausig was an Austrian writer, director and actor. Although he usually appeared in German language films, he also played in English language films such as Love Comes Lately, and in French language films such as La Reine Margot and Place Vendôme.

He won an Oscar for his performance as Captain Alfred Dreyfus in the film The Life of Emile Zola (1937); later, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as Otto Frank in the film The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) and a Primetime Emmy for his performance as Rabbi Gottlieb in a 1962 episode of the television series Sam Benedict.

Hanns Jelinek was an Austrian composer of Czech descent who is also known under the pseudonyms Hanns Elin, H. J. Hirsch, Jakob Fidelbogen.
