Renate Bertlmann is a leading Austrian feminist avant-garde visual artist, who since the early 1970s has focused on issues surrounding themes of sexuality, love, gender and eroticism within a social context, with her own body often serving as the artistic medium. Her diverse practice spans across painting, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture and performance, and actively confronts the social stereotypes assigned to masculine and feminine behaviours and relationships.

Paul Löwinger was an Austrian actor, theatre manager and writer. While still a child, he performed on his parents' stage, the Löwinger Bühne. In 1938 they were probably the first theatre ensemble which performed in front of television cameras. The same year he married Liesl Meinhard. The couple had three children: Guggi Löwinger, Sissy Löwinger and Paul Löwinger. He took over the Löwinger Bühne in 1947. Löwinger wrote numerous comedies and well known plays. His plays were often broadcast on television. He also took part in numerous German and Austrian films, such as "Zyankali" (1947) or "Kaiserball" (1956) and became internationally popular. His daughter Sissy managed the family-owned theatre until her death on September 25, 2011. Löwinger was buried at the Wiener Zentralfriedhof.

Susan E. Cernyak-Spatz was an Austrian-born professor of German language and literature at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was a Holocaust survivor. Her memoir, Protective Custody: Prisoner 34042, was published in 2005.

Hans Kronberger was an Austrian politician who was Member of the European Parliament. He was a parliamentary member of the Freedom Party of Austria, although was officially considered non-attached. After his unsuccessful candidacy in the 2004 European Parliament election, Kronberger contested his fellow Freedom Party of Austria member, Andreas Mölzer's election in the Constitutional Court of Austria.

Sissy Löwinger was an Austrian actress, director and theatre manager. She was the daughter of Austrian actors Liesl and Paul Löwinger. She worked in public relations and dramaturgy for the family theatre "Löwinger Bühne" together with her brother, Paul. Later she also directed plays. After her father's death she became manager of the theatre, again with her brother Paul. She directed and edited television comedies and also wrote eight plays. She appeared in the role of Walpurga in the Franz Josef Gottlieb directed German production of Saison in Salzburg (1961).

Birgit Jürgenssen (1949–2003) was an Austrian photographer, painter, graphic artist, curator and teacher who specialized in feminine body art with self-portraits and photo series, which have revealed a sequence of events related to the daily social life of a women in its various forms including an atmosphere of shocking fear and common prejudices. She was acclaimed as one of the "outstanding international representatives of the feminist avant-garde". She lived in Vienna. Apart from holding solo exhibitions of her photographic and other art works, she also taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Kurt Weinzierl was an Austrian television actor. He played Franz Jägerstätter in the biopic of 1971, but is most famous for his portrayal of the head of the Viennese police forces in Kottan ermittelt.

Alexander Horst is a beach volleyball player from Austria. He currently plays on the FIVB World Beach Volleyball Tour with new partner Clemens Doppler. Horst found most success with partner Florian Gosch on the FIVB World Beach Volleyball Tour, however a knee injury forced Florian Gosch into early retirement in the fall of 2010.
