Edy Rahmayadi is an Indonesian politician and former general who is the governor of North Sumatra. He is a former Lieutenant General in the Indonesian Army, commanding Kostrad between 2015 and 2018. Additionally, he was also chairman of PSSI between 2016 and 2019.

Fachrul Razi is an Indonesian politician and retired army officer who serves as Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs since 23 October 2019. He is only the third person of military background to occupy the office, the first since Navy retiree Tarmizi Taher (1993–1998), and the first Army general to do so since Alamsyah Ratu Perwiranegara (1978–1983). As Tarmizi was a 2-star admiral and Alamsyah was a 3-star general, Fachrul – a 4-star general – is the highest-ranked military officer to have ever held this ministerial office.

Ernst de Jonge
Ernst Willem de Jonge was a lawyer and Olympic rower who volunteered to serve in the Dutch resistance during the Second World War. He was captured in May 1942, interrogated and moved through several concentration camps. He died in a concentration camp in Poland in September 1944.
