He was appointed in Omar Razzaz's Cabinet on 9 May 2019 succeeding Ghazi Zaben, and succeeded by Natheer Obaidat. joining the cabinet in its third reshuffle since Omar Razzaz was sworn in on 14 June 2018. Before becoming minister, he was a cardiovascular surgeon with the Jordanian Royal Medical Services. Saad Jaber rose to prominence for his handling of the COVID19 virus in Jordan.

Thomas M. Nichols is an academic specialist on international affairs, currently a professor at the U.S. Naval War College and at the Harvard Extension School. His work deals with issues involving Russia, nuclear weapons, and national security affairs. He was previously a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Jeffrey William Colyer is an American surgeon and politician who served as the 47th governor of Kansas from January 31, 2018 to January 14, 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he was the 49th lieutenant governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018. Colyer served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009 and the Kansas Senate from 2009 to 2011. He assumed the governorship when Sam Brownback resigned to become United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. Colyer ran for a full term as governor in 2018, but narrowly lost the Republican primary to Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach, who in turn lost the general election to Democratic nominee Laura Kelly.

Whelan's legal career included clerking for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and serving as a deputy assistant attorney general during the George W. Bush administration.
