Ultiminio Ramos Zaqueira was a Cuban-born Mexican boxer who was better known as Sugar Ramos. Ramos fought out of Mexico where he was adopted as a national hero. He was a World Featherweight champion and member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

Itaru Oki was a Japanese jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist.

Alexander Claud Cockburn was an Irish-American political journalist and writer. Cockburn was brought up by British parents in Ireland but had lived and worked in the United States since 1972. Together with Jeffrey St. Clair, he edited the political newsletter CounterPunch. Cockburn also wrote the "Beat the Devil" column for The Nation as well as one for The Week in London, syndicated by Creators Syndicate.

Aharon Ipalé was an Israeli-American actor, known for his roles in American and British film and television productions. Mehmet Şener Eruygur is a former Turkish general. He was General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey from 2002 to 2004, and was later head of the Atatürk Thought Association. Eruygur was one of those charged in the Ergenekon trials with being involved with the Sarıkız, Ayışığı, Yakamoz and Eldiven 2004 coup plans; in August 2013 he was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.

Ilham al-Madfai is an Iraqi guitarist, singer and composer. al-Madfai's synthesis of Western guitar stylings with traditional Iraqi music has made him a popular performer in his native country and throughout the Middle East. Beginning in 1999, al-Madfai released a string of albums on EMI's label, including his platinum eponymous debut, Ilham al-Madfai (1999), Live at the Hard Rock Cafe (2001), Baghdad (2003) and The Voice of Iraq: The Best of Ilham al-Madfai (2005). In 2009, Al-Madfai released Dishdasha. His Western-inspired compositions led to a nickname; "The Baghdad Beatle".

Walter Johannes Mixa is a German prelate of the Catholic Church who is the Bishop Emeritus of Augsburg and Ordinary Emeritus of the Bundeswehr. He resigned as Bishop of Augsburg in 2010 due to allegations of fraud and violence towards children who had been in his care, as well as the sexual abuse of priests.
