Walter Kasper is a German Roman Catholic Cardinal and theologian. He is President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, having served as its president from 2001 to 2010.

Bela Andreevna Rudenko was a Ukrainian and Russian opera singer, music teacher, and professor of the Moscow Conservatory. She was awarded the People's Artist of the USSR in 1960 and a Laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1971.

Ikuo Kamei was a Japanese politician of the People's New Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet. A native of Shōbara, Hiroshima and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 1998 after serving in the assembly of Hiroshima Prefecture. Shizuka Kamei, a member of the House of Representatives, is his brother.

Henryk Józef Muszyński is the Primate Emeritus of Poland and former archbishop of Gniezno, Poland, having been appointed by Pope John Paul II when the Polish hierarchy was reorganized in March 1992. He had previously been Bishop of Włocławek since 1987.
