Ma Ho-ling (Chinese: 馬鶴凌; pinyin: Mǎ Hèlíng; Wade–Giles: Ma³ Ho⁴-ling²; 9 November 1920 – 1 November 2005) was a high official of Kuomintang and the Republic of China. He was the father of Ma Ying-jeou, the former President of the Republic of China.

Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, CF, GCMG, KBE was a Fijian politician, who served as Chief Minister from 1967 to 1970, when Fiji gained its independence from the United Kingdom, and, apart from one brief interruption in 1987, the first Prime Minister from 1970 to 1992. He subsequently served as President from 1993 to 2000. He is considered the founding father of the modern nation of Fiji.

He is viewed, along with Raúl Prebisch, as one of the main formulators of economic structuralism, an economics school that is largely identified with CEPAL, which achieved prominence in Latin America and other developing regions during the 1960s and 1970s and sought to stimulate economic development through governmental intervention, largely inspired on the views of John Maynard Keynes. As a politician, Furtado was appointed Minister of Planning and Minister of Culture.
