Nerlens Noel is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). His collegiate basketball career ended in his first season with a tear of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at the University of Kentucky. Noel was drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans. His rights were later traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He plays center and power forward, and was one of the top high school basketball players in the class of 2012.

Wesley JaMarr Johnson is an American professional basketball player who last played for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for Syracuse University and Iowa State University. He was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Nicolas Batum is a French professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Rebecca Rose Lobo-Rushin is an American television basketball analyst and former women's basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1997 to 2003. Lobo, at 6'4", played the center position for much of her career. Lobo played college basketball at the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of the team that won the 1995 national championship, going 35–0 on the season in the process. Lobo was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. In April 2017, she was announced as one of the members of the 2017 class of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, alongside Tracy McGrady and Muffet McGraw.

Caleb Sylvester Swanigan is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers. He was ranked among the top prep players in the national class of 2015 by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN. He completed his senior season in the 2014–15 academic year for Homestead High School, who went on to win the first state championship in the school's history. Swanigan was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball and a McDonald's All-American.

De'Andre James Hunter is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers where they won the National Championship in 2019.

Robert Covington is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The small forward played college basketball for the Tennessee State Tigers. In 2018, he was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team.

Thomas Wayne Hovasse is a basketball coach and former player. He played briefly as a member of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Atlanta Hawks during the 1994–95 season, and overseas in Japan. He coached the Japan women's squad at the 2020 Olympics. Hovasse attended Pennsylvania State University.

Luol Ajou Deng is a South Sudanese-British former professional basketball player. He is the current president of South Sudan Basketball Federation. Luol is also currently serving as the coach for South Sudan Basketball men's team coach. He was a two-time NBA All-Star and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2012. Born in what is now South Sudan, Deng fled the country with his family as a child, eventually settling in the United Kingdom. He became a British citizen in 2006, and has played for the Great Britain national team.
