Thomas Shepard was an English, afterwards American Puritan minister and a significant figure in early colonial New England.

Valentin Haüy was the founder, in 1785, of the first school for the blind, the Institute for Blind Youth in Paris. In 1819, Louis Braille entered this school.

Marie-Josèphe Yoyotte was a French film and television editor and actress. Her extensive editing credits include The 400 Blows, Winged Migration and Microcosmos, the latter of which garnered Yoyotte a César Award for Best Editing.

András Hegedüs was a Hungarian Communist politician who served as Chairman of the Council of Ministers from 1955 to 1956. He fled to the Soviet Union on 28 October, the fifth day of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, but returned in 1958 and taught sociology.

Rinaldo "Dino" Del Bo was an Italian politician who served in the High Authority of the European Coal and Steel Community, serving as President of the body between 9 October 1963 and 1967 as the Del Bo Authority.
