James Rufus Agee was an American novelist, journalist, poet, screenwriter and film critic. In the 1940s, he was one of the most influential film critics in the U.S. His autobiographical novel, A Death in the Family (1957), won the author a posthumous 1958 Pulitzer Prize.

Fernando Quevedo Salazar is a former Spanish racing cyclist. He finished in last place in the 1992 Tour de France.

Iván Tibor Berend is a Hungarian historian and teacher who served as President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1985 until 1990. He was a member of Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party's Central Committee between 1988 and 1989. Since 1990 he has been living in Los Angeles and teaching at UCLA. In 2015, he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
