Aleksandër Meksi is a researcher and restorer of monuments of medieval architecture and politician who served as the 28th Prime Minister of Albania, from 1992 to 1997. His father was Gabriel Meksi, a history teacher, and his mother Efigjeni Haxhistasa. He is married to Dhurata Shala and has two sons, Endri and Redon.
