Wu Zhenglong is a Chinese politician and current Governor of Jiangsu province. Previously, he was Communist Party Secretary of Nanjing. Born in Jiangsu, Wu served in Chongqing, then Shanxi, earlier in his career, before being transferred back to his home province, where he experienced a series of rapid promotions.

Wu Xiaohui is a Chinese businessman, the former chairman and chief executive of Anbang Insurance Group, then one of the largest insurers in China. In May 2018 he was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment on charges of fraud and embezzlement.

Wu Ke-Xi is a Taiwanese actress. She has had starring roles in most of Midi Z's films. In 2016, Wu was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best Leading Actress for her role in The Road to Mandalay.

Wu Po-hsiung is a Taiwanese politician who is a former chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT). He has been the Interior Minister (1984-1988), Mayor of Taipei (1988–1990), Secretary-General to the President (1991–1996), and Chairman of the KMT (2007-2009). Wu was nominated as Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang when he was succeeded by Ma Ying-jeou as the Chairman of the Kuomintang.

Wu Sangui, courtesy name Changbai (長白) or Changbo (長伯), 1612 – 2 October 1678, was a Chinese military leader who played an instrumental role in the fall of the Ming dynasty and the establishment of the Qing dynasty in its place.

He was a professor of physics at University of Alabama (Huntsville), Columbia University, and National Tsing Hua University, the Director of the Institute of Physics at Academia Sinica, the president of the National Dong Hwa University, and is currently a distinguished research fellow of the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica.

Wu Nai-ren is a Taiwanese politician. He is the former Secretary-General of the Democratic Progressive Party. When Cho Jung-tai declared his intention to run for the party chairmanship in December 2018, Wu withdrew from the party to protest Cho's candidacy.

Wu Shu-chen (Chinese: 吳淑珍; pinyin: Wú Shúzhēn; Wade–Giles: Wu² Shu²-chen¹; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ngô Siok-tin; born 11 July 1953 in Tainan County, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese politician. She served one term in the Legislative Yuan from 1987 to 1990. As the wife of President Chen Shui-bian, Wu was the First Lady of the Republic of China from 2000 to 2008. She is the only First Lady of Taiwan to have been charged and convicted of a crime; she was sentenced to a one-year prison term for perjury regarding political corruption during her husband's tenure as President. Her sentence has however been increased to 17 and a half years, same as her husband.
