Willis Haviland Carrier was an American engineer, best known for inventing modern air conditioning. Carrier invented the first electrical air conditioning unit in 1902. In 1915, he founded Carrier Corporation, a company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Willis Ho Kit Wang is a Hong Kong journalist, activist and documentary filmmaker. She was a deputy secretary-general of Hong Kong Federation of Students, and the convenor of Land Justice League. In 2017, she was jailed for participating in Hong Kong land justice movement.

Lamb was able to determine precisely a surprising shift in electron energies in a hydrogen atom. Lamb was a professor at the University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences.
