Marie de Hautefort, was a French noble and lady-in-waiting, a trusted confidante and adviser of King Louis XIII of France. They did not have a sexual relationship and she was thereby a favorite rather than a royal mistress. She was also a personal friend of Queen Anne of Austria.

Marie Heurtin was a French deafblind woman. Despite learning no language until the age of ten, Heurtin was taught to sign, read, and write by the nuns of Notre Dame de Larnay, a convent near Poitiers. As a young adult, Heurtin helped educate other deafblind girls at the convent, including her younger sister, who was also deafblind.

Marie Osborne Yeats, credited as Baby Marie between 1914 and 1919, was the first major child star of American silent films. She was one of the three major American child stars of the Hollywood silent film era along with Jackie Coogan and Diana Serra Cary. As an adult, from 1934 until 1950, and now billed as Marie Osborne, she continued in film productions, although she appeared only in uncredited roles. In the 1950s, after retiring from the acting profession, she carved out a second career as a costume designer for Hollywood film.

Marie Batomene is a French badminton player. She started playing badminton at the age of eight, in her hometown Béthune. She was part of the national junior team that won the silver medal at the 2013 European Junior Championships. She clinched the women's singles national champion in 2019, where she before finished as the runners-up in 2013 and 2017. She competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and 2019 European Games.
