José Luis Arrieta Lujambio is a retired Spanish professional road racing cyclist. He last rode for UCI ProTour team Ag2r–La Mondiale. He is now a sporting director for Movistar Team, the same franchise for which he rode earlier in his career when it was known as Banesto.

José da Cruz Policarpo, GCC, officially referred to as José IV, Patriarch of Lisbon, though usually referred to as "D. José Policarpo", was Patriarch of Lisbon from 24 March 1998 to 18 May 2013. Pope John Paul II made him a Cardinal in 2001. Policarpo held a doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

José Francisco Ballesta Germán is a Spanish medical professor and politician. A full professor at the University of Murcia since 1992, he served as the university's president from 1998 to 2006. As a People's Party politician, he was the mayor of Murcia (2015–2021) and a minister in the Government of the Region of Murcia (2007–2014).
