Jakob Ingebrigtsen
Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian middle-distance runner. He won two gold medals at the 2018 European Championships, in the 1500 and 5000 metres events. On 20 July 2019, at the London Diamond League, Ingebrigtsen broke Norway's national record in the 5000 m with his time of 13:02.03. His older brothers Henrik and Filip are also middle-distance runners who compete internationally. They are trained by their father Gjert Ingebrigtsen. On 12 October 2019, he was the youngest pacemaker in the successful sub-2 hour marathon attempt by Eliud Kipchoge.

Jakob Pöltl
Jakob Pöltl is an Austrian professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Utah Utes. In his sophomore year, Pöltl was a consensus second-team All-American, and won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award and Pete Newell Big Man Award as the top collegiate center and low-post player, respectively. After the season, he declared for the 2016 NBA draft, where the Toronto Raptors selected him in the first round with the ninth overall pick.
Jakob Fugger
Jakob Fugger of the Lily, also known as Jakob Fugger the Rich or sometimes Jakob II, was a major German merchant, mining entrepreneur, and banker. He was a descendant of the Fugger merchant family located in the Free Imperial City of Augsburg, where he was born and later also elevated through marriage to Grand Burgher of Augsburg. Within a few decades he expanded the family firm to a business operating in all of Europe. He began his education at the age of 14 in Venice, which also remained his main residence until 1487. At the same time he was a cleric and held several prebendaries, even though he never lived in a monastery. Fugger is held to be one of the wealthiest individuals in modern history, alongside the early 20th century industrialists John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie.
Jakob Nacken
Jakob Hudson Nacken or Jacob Nacken was a German circus performer active in Europe and the United States. He began his career as an exceptionally tall person while a teenager, performing in a traveling circus, and appeared in the 1939 New York World's Fair. Nacken was the tallest soldier in the German Army during World War II at a height of seven feet three inches (2.21 m). He was employed as a giant Santa Claus and appeared on American television as a figure of high stature and in freak shows as the World's Tallest Man.

Jakob Oetama was an Indonesian senior journalist and businessman who was one of the co-founders and owners of Kompas Gramedia Group, the largest media group in Indonesia. Together with P.K. Ojong in 1965 he established the Kompas daily, the leading national broadsheet newspaper in Indonesia, where he was editor-in-chief until 2000.
