Her roles have included the television series Les Invincibles, Toute la vérité, La galère, and the 2000s revival of Lance et compte, as well as the films Yellowknife, Familia, Life with My Father and Café de Flore. She garnered a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 32nd Genie Awards for her performance in Café de Flore. That film also got her nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2012.

Hélène Missoffe was a French Union of Democrats for the Republic later the Rally for the Republic politician. She was elected three times as a deputy of the National Assembly between 1974 and 1986, firstly to represent the 24th district of Paris during the fifth and sixth legislatures of the National Assembly and lastly to represent the Val-d'Oise constituency at the eighth National Assembly legislature. Missoffe served as a senator in the French Senate for Val-d'Oise from 1986 to 1995 and was a vice-president of the Regional Council of Île-de-France. She was appointed Officier de la Légion d'honneur.

Helene Bresslau Schweitzer was a German medical missionary, nurse, social worker, linguist, public medicine enthusiast, editor, feminist, sociologist, and the wife/confidant of Albert Schweitzer, who co-founded the Albert Schweitzer Hospital with her. Albert, a medical missionary, did not mention her role in his efforts. According to writer Mary Kingsley, she is "one form of human being whose praise has never adequately been sung, namely, the missionary's wife." While much of his work seems to overwrite her own, she played a pivotal role in the advancement of medicine, feminine independence, and societal justice.
