David John Aldous, FRS is a mathematician known for his research on probability theory and its applications, in particular in topics such as exchangeability, weak convergence, Markov chain mixing times, the continuum random tree and stochastic coalescence. He entered St. John's College, Cambridge, in 1970 and received his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge in 1977 under his advisor, D. J. H. Garling. Since 1979 Aldous has been on the faculty at University of California, Berkeley.

David Andrews is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 1993 and 1997 to 2000, Minister for Defence from 1993 to 1994 and June 1997 to October 1997, Minister for the Marine from 1993 to 1994, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs from 1977 to 1979 and Government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of Defence from 1970 to 1973. David Eugene Price is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 4th congressional district since 1997, previously holding the position from 1987 to 1995. A member of the Democratic Party, he represents a district covering much of the heart of the Triangle, including all of Orange County and parts of Wake and Durham counties. It includes most of Raleigh, parts of Durham, and all of Cary and Chapel Hill. He is dean of North Carolina's congressional delegation.

David Shoenberg, MBE FRS, was a British physicist who worked in condensed matter physics. Shoenberg is known for having developed experimental and theoretical principles to study the De Haas–Van Alphen effect to characterize the electrical conduction of metals.

David Janson is an English actor and theatre director whose stage debut was in Oliver! in 1962. He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1963 in A Midsummer Night's Dream and appeared as the young boy in The Beatles film A Hard Day's Night.
