Charles Lane was an American character actor and centenarian whose career spanned 72 years. Lane gave his last performance at the age of 101 as a narrator in 2006. Lane appeared in many Frank Capra films, including Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), You Can't Take It with You (1938), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and Riding High (1950).

Charles Robert Starrett was an American actor best known for his starring role in the Durango Kid western series. When he retired he held the record for starring in the longest-running string of feature films.

Charles Robert Band is an American film producer and director, known for his work on horror comedy movies. His most famous films are those in the Puppet Master franchise and the Subspecies series, made by his company Full Moon Features. Before Full Moon Features, his earlier company Empire Pictures made films like Ghoulies and the cult classic Re-Animator. One of the few non-horror films he worked on was the Prehysteria! trilogy, which was made by his family-oriented company Moonbeam Entertainment.

Charles Samuel Deneen was an American attorney and politician who served as the 23rd Governor of Illinois, from 1905 to 1913. He was the first Illinois governor to serve two consecutive terms totalling eight years. Notably, he was governor during the infamous Springfield race riot of 1908, which he helped put down. He later served as a U.S. Senator from Illinois, from 1925 to 1931. Deneen had previously served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1892 to 1894. As an attorney, he had been the lead prosecutor in Chicago's infamous Adolph Luetgert murder trial.

Charles Lewis is an investigative journalist based in Washington D.C. He founded The Center for Public Integrity and several other nonprofit organizations and is currently the executive editor of the Investigative Reporting Workshop at the American University School of Communication in D.C.

Charles Hill Mailes was a Canadian actor of the silent era. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1870, Mailes appeared in 290 films between 1909 and 1935. He married the actress Claire McDowell in 1906 and the happy couple appeared in numerous silent films together including The Mark of Zorro (1920). They had two sons, Robert and Eugene. He died in Los Angeles, California, in 1937.

Charles Augustus Young one of the foremost solar spectroscopist astronomers in the United States. He observed solar eclipses and worked on spectroscopy of the Sun. He observed a solar flare with a spectroscope on 3 August 1872, and also noted that it coincided with a magnetic storm on Earth.
