Alessandro Riedle is a German professional footballer who plays as a striker for FC Wangen bei Olten in Switzerland. He is the son of former Germany international Karl-Heinz Riedle.

Renate Götschl is a former champion alpine ski racer. She is a two-time individual World Champion in the combined (1997) and downhill (1999), and has won a total of 9 World Championships medals. She also won two Olympic medals in 2002, the bronze medal in downhill and the silver medal in the combined.

Ferdinand Tönnies was a German sociologist, economist, and philosopher. He was a major contributor to sociological theory and field studies, best known for his distinction between two types of social groups, Gemeinschaft and Gesellschaft. He co-founded the German Society for Sociology together with Max Weber and Georg Simmel and many other founders. He was president of the society from 1909 to 1933, after which he was ousted for having criticized the Nazis. Tönnies was considered the first German sociologist proper, published over 900 works and contributed to many areas of sociology and philosophy. Tönnies, Max Weber, and Georg Simmel are considered to be the founding fathers of classical German sociology. Though there has been a resurgence of interest Weber and Simmel, Tönnies has not drawn as much attention.

Kurmanbek Saliyevich Bakiyev is a politician who served as the second President of Kyrgyzstan, from 2005 to 2010. Large opposition protests in April 2010 led to the takeover of government offices, forcing Bakiyev to flee the country.

Wang Shaudi is a Taiwanese director, writer and film producer who has been involved in making such production as Life Plan A and B, 1000 Walls in Dream and Tropical Fish. She has won multiple awards for her work including one for Best Screenplay at the Golden Horse Film Festival and one for Best Film at the Taipei Film Festival. In 2014 she was presented with the Taiwan National Award for Arts for her contributions to film making.

Francisco Javier García Pimienta, known as García Pimienta, is a Spanish football manager and former player. He is the current manager of UD Las Palmas.

Ingrid Caven is a German film actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in several films directed by her husband, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, including Love Is Colder Than Death (1969), Why Does Herr R. Run Amok? (1970), and The American Soldier (1970). She continued to appear in Fassbinder's films after their 1972 divorce until his death in 1982. She has also appeared in Silent Night (1995), 35 Shots of Rum (2009) and Suspiria (2018).
