The incident was made into the crime drama film Dog Day Afternoon (1975), directed by Sidney Lumet. The character Leon Shermer, played by Chris Sarandon, is loosely based on Eden.

II and signed to Shady Records and Interscope Records in 2017. His debut studio album, Everythings for Sale, was released on January 25, 2019. His second album More Black Superheroes was released on June 17, 2022.

Thomas Rukavina was an American politician and a Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1987 to 2013. In 2010 he was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Minnesota, seeking the DFL nomination. He was a St. Louis County commissioner from 2015 to 2018.
