Ferdinand-Sigismond Bach, known as Ferdinand Bac, was a French cartoonist, artist and writer, son of an illegitimate nephew of the Emperor Napoleon. As a young man, he mixed in the fashionable world of Paris of the Belle Époque, and was known for his caricatures, which appeared in popular journals. He also traveled widely in Europe and the Mediterranean. In his fifties, he began a career as a landscape gardener. The gardens that he created at Les Colombières in Menton on the French Riviera are now designated as a Monument Historique. He also wrote voluminously about social, historical and political subjects, but his work has been largely forgotten.

Francis Reginald Scott (1899–1985), commonly known as Frank Scott or F. R. Scott, was a Canadian poet, intellectual, and constitutional expert. He helped found the first Canadian social democratic party, the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, and its successor, the New Democratic Party. He won Canada's top literary prize, the Governor General's Award, twice, once for poetry and once for non-fiction. He was married to artist Marian Dale Scott.

Carlo Ripa di Meana was an Italian politician. He was a Member of the European Parliament, a European Commissioner with portfolio for the environment and was environment minister of Italy. He was the leader of the Italian Greens and president of the organization Italia Nostra.

Catherine Martine Denguiadé became Catherine Bokassa was a Central African Republic (CAR) Empress Consort. She was one of several wives of Emporer Bokassa but she became the Empress when he created the Central African Empire. Her son was chosen as his heir.
