Charles David Liddell is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. He has an extensive striking background in Kenpo, Karate, and Kickboxing, as well as a grappling background in collegiate wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Liddell had 23 fights in the UFC; along with Randy Couture, he is widely credited with bringing MMA into the mainstream of American sports and entertainment. On July 10, 2009, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Eric Henry Liddell was a Scottish Olympic Gold Medalist runner for Britain, Scottish rugby union international player, and Christian missionary. He was born in China to Scottish missionary parents. He attended boarding school near London, spending time when possible with his family in Edinburgh, and afterwards attended the University of Edinburgh.

George Augustus Frederick Liddell was an English cricketer. Liddell was the son of Thomas Liddell, 1st Baron Ravensworth. Educated at Eton College, Liddell later married Cecil Wellesley, daughter of Gerald Wellesley.
