Cassius Marcellus Clay, nicknamed the "Lion of White Hall," was a Kentucky planter, politician, and emancipationist who worked for the abolition of slavery. He was a founding member of the Republican Party in Kentucky, and was appointed by President Abraham Lincoln as the United States minister to Russia. Clay is credited with gaining Russian support for the Union during the American Civil War.

Andrew Dice Clay is an American stand-up comedian, actor, musician and producer. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s with a brash, macho persona known as "The Diceman". In 1990, he became the first stand-up comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden for two consecutive nights. Eisenhower in 1945; deputy military governor, Germany, in 1946; Commander in Chief, United States Forces in Europe and military governor of the United States Zone, Germany, from 1947 to 1949. Clay orchestrated the Berlin Airlift (1948–1949) when the USSR blockaded West Berlin.
