Patrice Alègre
Patrice Alègre (born 20 June 1968) is a French serial killer who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2002 with a minimum term of 22 years for five murders, an attempted murder, and six rapes. He, subsequently, was acquitted of four additional murder charges on July 3, 2008.
Manuel Marques de Sousa, Count of Porto Alegre
Manuel Marques de Sousa, Count of Porto Alegre, nicknamed "the Gloved Centaur", was an army officer, politician, abolitionist and monarchist of the Empire of Brazil. Born into a wealthy family of military background, Manuel Marques de Sousa joined the Portuguese Army in Brazil in 1817 when he was little more than a child. His military initiation occurred in the conquest of the Banda Oriental, which was annexed and became the southernmost Brazilian province of Cisplatina in 1821. For most of the 1820s, he was embroiled in the Brazilian effort to keep Cisplatina as part of its territory: first during the struggle for Brazilian independence and then in the Cisplatine War. It would ultimately prove a futile attempt, as Cisplatina successfully separated from Brazil to become the independent nation of Uruguay in 1828.

Manuel Alegre de Melo Duarte, GCL is a Portuguese poet and politician, member of the Socialist Party, and a candidate to the 2006 Portuguese presidential election. He was a presidential candidate, in the 2011 presidential election, this time being backed up by the Left Bloc and the Socialist Party. Alegre was awarded the Camões Prize in 2017.

Pedro Efraín Alegre Sasiain is a Paraguayan politician. He was the President of the Chamber of Deputies from 1999 to 2000. He was the presidential candidate of the Authentic Radical Liberal Party in the April 2013 elections. He placed second behind Horacio Cartes, with 39% of the vote. He ran again in 2018, coming second to Mario Abdo Benítez with 45% of the vote.

Her full title was María de los Desamparados Muñoz y de Borbón, condesa de Vista Alegre.
