Llewelyn Sherman Adams was an American politician, best known as White House Chief of Staff for President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the culmination of an 18-year political career that also included a stint as Governor of New Hampshire. He lost his White House position in a scandal when he accepted an expensive vicuña coat.

Kim Adams is a Canadian sculptor whose assemblages have provided both iconography and media since the 1980s. His visual style is influenced by industrial design, architecture and automotive design. His work incorporates the model railroading technique of kitbashing, and bright stock colours and prefabricated elements are important ingredients in his large-scale sculptures. His small surreal landscapes are reminiscent of Hieronymus Bosch.

Alton Augustus Adams, Sr. is remembered primarily as the first black bandmaster in the United States Navy. His music was performed by the bands of John Philip Sousa and Edwin Franko Goldman and his march "The Governor's Own" (1921) appears as the first selection on the bicentennial album Pride of America, released by New World Records.
