Yuriko Takano , better known by the pen name Yū Asagiri, was a female Japanese manga artist from Tokyo, Japan. She made her professional manga debut in 1976. Asagiri received the 1987 Kodansha Manga Award for shōjo for Nanairo Magic. She died on 27 October 2018 from severe pneumonia.

Rudolf 'Rolf' Schafstall was a German football coach and a player. He was born in Duisburg, Germany.

Jonathan Cantwell was an Australian professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2014 for the Jittery Joe's, V Australia, Saxo–Tinkoff and Drapac Professional Cycling teams.

Bernard "Bunny" Carr was an Irish television presenter. He presented shows such as Quicksilver, Teen Talk and Going Strong on RTÉ. He later set up his own communications and public relations company.

Kona McKay Schwenke was an American football defensive tackle who played college football at Notre Dame.

Christopher Joseph Gedney was an American college and professional football player who was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons. He played college football for Syracuse University, and earned All-American honors. He played professionally for the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals of the NFL. After his football career ended, he served as assistant athletics director at Syracuse University.

Paul Frederik was an American professional wrestler and professional wrestling manager, better known by his ring name, Paul Jones. He is best known for his appearances with professional wrestling promotions in the Southeastern United States, in particular with Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling – where he had 23 championship reigns and led the stable Paul Jones' Army – and Championship Wrestling from Florida.

Robert Frederick Jane was an Australian race car driver and prominent entrepreneur and business tycoon. A four-time winner of the Armstrong 500, the race that became the prestigious Bathurst 1000 and a four-time Australian Touring Car Champion, Jane was well known for his chain of tyre retailers, Bob Jane T-Marts. Jane was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 2000.

Esmond Bradley Martin was an American conservationist who fought for both the preservation of elephants against the illegal ivory trade, and for the rhinoceros against the illegal trade of rhinoceros horns. A trained geographer, Martin was considered a world-renowned expert in the ivory trade and rhinoceros horn trade. He had been a special envoy of the United Nations for the conservation of rhinoceros. Militant for a reduction in the demand for ivory to dry up the market, he participated notably in the stop of rhinoceros horn trade to China in 1993 and ivory in 2017.
