Ray Sawyer was an American singer and vocalist with the 1970s rock band Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. Though primarily a backing vocalist and occasional percussionist on congas or maracas, he sang lead on their hit song "The Cover of Rolling Stone" and was a recognizable presence in the band owing to the eyepatch and cowboy hat he wore. He was also the uncle of the vocalist of Wild Fire, Zack Sawyer.

Lyudmila Mikhaylovna Alexeyeva was a Russian historian and human rights activist who was a founding member of the Moscow Helsinki Watch Group, and one of the last Soviet dissidents active in modern Russia.

José Castillo Rondón was a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, and Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Chiba Lotte Marines and Yokohama BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He was killed in a car crash in 2018 in Venezuela caused by bandits in an attempted robbery.

Harry Wayne Huizenga Sr. was an American businessman and entrepreneur. He founded AutoNation and Waste Management Inc., and was the owner or co-owner of Blockbuster Video, the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League, and the Florida Marlins of Major League Baseball.

Sami ul Haq was a Pakistani religious scholar and senator. He was known as the Father of Taliban in Pakistan. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan from 1985 to 1991 and again from 1991 to 1997. He was the son of Maulana Abdul-Haq and was involved in various religious activities like his father did. He himself has four sons: Hamid-ul-Haq, Rashid-ul-Haq, Usama Sami UL haq,Khuzaima Haq

Henri Louis Michel was a French football player and coach. He played as a midfielder for Nantes and the France national team, and later went on to coach various clubs and national teams all over the world. He coached France at the 1986 World Cup, where they reached the semi-final, eventually managing a third–place finish; he also helped the Olympic squad win a gold medal in the 1984 edition of the tournament.

Penelope Cook was an Australian actress, stage director, TV presenter and writer. She played roles in the soap opera A Country Practice, as Vicki Dean Bowen from 1981 to 1985, E Street as lead anchor-character, Dr Elly Fielding, between 1989 and 1991, and Neighbours in the recurring role of Prue Brown from 2007 to 2010. She was also a presenter on travel show The Great Outdoors

Peter Alexander Rupert Carington, 6th Baron Carrington, Baron Carington of Upton,, was a British Conservative politician and hereditary peer who served as defence secretary from 1970 to 1974, foreign secretary from 1979 to 1982, chairman of British General Electric Company from 1983 to 1984, and secretary general of NATO from 1984 to 1988. In the first government of Margaret Thatcher, he played a major role in negotiating the Lancaster House Agreement that ended the racial conflict in Rhodesia and enabled the creation of Zimbabwe.

Paul Sherwen was an English professional racing cyclist and later a broadcaster on cycling, notably the Tour de France. He raced in seven editions of the Tour, finishing five, and gained a reputation for his ability to suffer over long mountain stages.
