Ela Stein-Weissberger was a Czech holocaust survivor who became well known for her roles as a contemporary witness and intelligence officer for the Israel Defense Forces. In her later years she traveled the world discussing her time in concentration camps during World War II. She even wrote about her experiences in a book titled The Cat with the Yellow Star: Coming of Age in Terezin.

Ole Svane Thestrup was a Danish actor. He appeared in many Danish films, particularly those directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, as well as television and theatre roles. He had a recurring role in the political drama series Borgen.

Aloyzas Kveinys was a Lithuanian chess player, who was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1992.

Karl Maria Alois Rawer was a German specialist in radio wave propagation and the ionosphere. He developed the analytical code to determine suitable frequency ranges for short wave communication by which German forces built-up their long distance communications during World War II.

Baadur Tsuladze was a Georgian actor, film director, writer and broadcaster. Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR (1979).

Aleksandr Yakovlevich Askoldov was a Soviet Russian actor and film director. He graduated from the Gorky Literary Institute. After finishing the advanced directing course he directed his first film, Commissar (1967). The film was banned for more than 20 years and put an end to his career as a director in the USSR.

Field marshal Abdel Rahman Suwar al-Dahab was the President of Sudan from 6 April 1985, to 6 May 1986.

Julia Rosa Capristán García, better known by stage name Carmencita Lara, was a Peruvian singer of waltzes, huaynos, marineras, polkas and pasillo. She is considered by many Peruvians referring to the perfect music to "drown the sorrows". Obituaries recognized the sharp tone of her voice, her particular interpretation and the accompaniment of the accordion of Víctor Lara.

Erich Padalewski (1930–2018) was an Austrian stage, film and television actor.
