Mambillikalathil Govind Kumar Menon also known as M. G. K. Menon, was a physicist and policy maker from India. He had a prominent role in the development of science and technology in India over four decades. One of his most important contributions was nurturing the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, which his mentor Homi J. Bhabha founded in 1945.

Gertrud Koch was a German resistance fighter during World War II. She is best known for being a member of the youth group Edelweiss Pirates.

Liang Sili was a Chinese aerospace engineer. He was elected an academician of the International Academy of Astronautics in 1987 and the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993. He became the vice-president of the International Astronautical Federation in 1994.

Peter Lerche was a German jurist. Between 1964 and 1996 he held a chair for constitutional law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His research interests also included media law.

Arquimínio Rodrigues da Costa was a Portuguese prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Macau from 1976 to 1988.

Alfredo Bruto da Costa was a Portuguese politician. He served as Minister for Health and Social Welfare in the Government of Prime Minister Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo 1979–80. From 2008, he served as president of the Portuguese Economic and Social Council. He was President of National Commission for Justice and Peace from 2008 to 2014 and a member of the Council of State between September 2014 and January 2016.
