Rose Francine Rogombé was a Gabonese politician who was Acting President of Gabon from June 2009 to October 2009, following the death of long-time President Omar Bongo. She constitutionally succeeded Bongo due to her role as President of the Senate, a post to which she was elected in February 2009. She was a lawyer by profession and a member of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG). Rogombé was the first female head of state of Gabon. After her interim presidency, she returned to her post as President of the Senate.

Wolfgang Sandner was a German physicist who was employed in atomic and laser physics. From 2010 to 2012 he was president of the German Physical Society. Until his death, he was director general of the ELI Delivery Consortium International Association (AISBL) located in Brussels.

Louis Johnson was an American bass guitarist. Johnson was best known for his group the Brothers Johnson and his session playing on several hit albums of the 1970s and 1980s, including the best selling album of all time, Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Omar Abdul Hamid Karami was the 29th Prime Minister of Lebanon, who served two separate terms. He was Prime Minister for the first time from 24 December 1990, when Selim al-Hoss gave up power, until May 1992, when he resigned due to economic instability. He was again Prime Minister from October 2004 to April 2005.

Svein Bakke was a Norwegian footballer who played for Sogndal Fotball from 1971 to 1990. Bakke was central player when Sogndal faced SK Brann in the 1976 Norwegian Football Cup. Bakke played 514 matches over his nineteen-year career and scored 321 goals.

Boris Vladimirovich Morukov was a Russian physician at the State Research Center RF-Institute for Biomedical Problems (IBMP). He trained with the Russian Federal Space Agency as a research-cosmonaut and flew aboard NASA Space Shuttle mission STS-106 as a mission specialist.
