Dmitry Nikolayevich Kuznetsov, better known by his stage name Husky, is a Russian rapper from Ulan-Ude. His music is known for its use of somber lyrics, complex rhyme schemes, assonance, and alliteration. On November 22, 2018, Kuznetsov was arrested while performing in Krasnodar, and sentenced to 12 days in jail under charges of petty hooliganism and for refusing to take medical tests. Major social and political figures in the country, including opposition politician Aleksei Navalny, argued that this was part of a larger state-led attempt to censor free speech. On November 26, the court reversed its ruling and Kuznetsov was released.

Boris Zakharovich Shumyatsky was a Soviet politician, diplomat and the de facto executive producer for the Soviet film monopoly from 1930 to 1937. He was executed as a traitor in 1938, following a "purge" of the Soviet film industry, and much information about him was expunged from the public record as a consequence.
