Akiko Sugimoto (杉本 章子) was a Japanese novelist. She is best known for writing historical fiction about famous people who lived during the Edo period.

Friedrich Ludwig "Fritz" Bauer was a German pioneer of computer science and professor at the Technical University of Munich.

Michael John Randal MacKellar was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Liberal Party and served in the House of Representatives from 1969 to 1994, representing the Division of Warringah. He was Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs (1975–1979) and Minister for Health (1979–1982) in the Fraser Government.

Abdeltawab Youssef Ahmed Youssef was an Egyptian author, translator, and publisher.

Miroslav Josić Višnjić was a Serbian writer and poet. He won numerous literary prizes, most notably NIN Prize 1990 for his novel Odbrana i propast Bodroga u sedam burnih godišnjih doba and Andrić Award in 1998. He died at the age of 69.

Lucjan Roman Lis was a Polish cyclist. He had his greatest success in the 100 km team time trial. In this event he won a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics as well as a bronze and a gold medal at the world championships in 1971 and 1973, respectively. He was less successful in the individual road race, finishing in 36th place at the 1972 Olympics. In 1973 he won the Tour de Pologne individually and the Peace Race with the Polish team.

Bruce Lundvall was an American record company executive, best known for his period as the President and CEO of the Blue Note Label Group, reporting directly to Eric Nicoli, the Chief Executive Officer of EMI Group.
