Amelio "Mel" Dinelli was an American writer for theatre, radio, film and magazines, usually in the suspense genre. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He joined the Albuquerque Little Theatre company for its inaugural season in 1931, acting in two plays alongside future I Love Lucy star Vivian Vance. He later studied at the Pasadena Playhouse school of theater arts and the University of Washington.

Wolfgang Müller-Wiener was a German architecture historian, archaeologist and Byzantinist.

Michael Langdon was a British bass opera singer.

Mireille Perrey (1904–1991) was a French stage and film actress. Perrey played some leading roles in the 1930s but gradually developed into a character actor, appearing in films such as the British comedy Hotel Sahara (1951). In 1964 she featured in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.

Alfredo Rizzo was an Italian actor, screenwriter and director.

Eric Samuel Heffer was a British socialist politician. He was Labour Member of Parliament for Liverpool Walton from 1964 until his death. His working-class background and consciousness fostered his left-wing politics. With 12,000 books in his home, he also admitted to being a bibliophile. Due to his experience as a professional joiner, he made a speciality of the construction industry and its employment practices, but was also concerned with trade union issues in general. He changed his view on the European Common Market from being an outspoken supporter to an outspoken opponent, and served a brief period in government in the mid-1970s. His later career was dominated by his contribution to debates within the Labour Party and he defended the Liverpool City Council.

Paul Teitgen was a résistant and political prisoner during the Second World War. Later, he was the Police Prefect of Algiers during the Algerian War, where he was notable for his opposition to the widespread torture committed by the French Army.
