Floyd Council was an American blues guitarist, mandolin player, and singer. He was a practitioner of the Piedmont blues, which was popular in the southeastern United States in the 1920s and 1930s. He was sometimes credited as Dipper Boy Council and promoted as "The Devil's Daddy-in-Law".

Bert Bates was a British film editor, sometimes credited as A. S. Bates. He worked on more than sixty films during his career. Bates edited his first feature film, Many Waters, in 1931. He went on to be employed by many leading British studios, working on films by directors including Alfred Hitchcock, Anatole Litvak and Carol Reed.

During the 1930s and 1940s, Altheim served the Nazi state as a member of Ahnenerbe, a think tank controlled by the Schutzstaffel (SS), the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, and as a spy for the SS.
