Elizabeth Pakenham, Countess of Longford, better known as Elizabeth Longford, was a British historian. She was a member of the Royal Society of Literature and was on the board of trustees of the National Portrait Gallery in London. She is best known as a historian, especially for her biographies of 19th-century aristocrats such as Queen Victoria (1964), Lord Byron (1976) and the Duke of Wellington (1969).

Sōri Yanagi was a Japanese industrial designer. He played a role in Japanese modern design developed after World War II to the high-growth period in the Japanese economy. He is both a representative of the wholly Japanese modern designer and a full-blown modernist who merged simplicity and practicality with elements of traditional Japanese crafts.

Miguel Esteban Hesayne was an Argentinian Roman Catholic prelate. He served as Bishop of the Diocese of Viedma from 1975 to 1995. He was born in Azul, Buenos Aires on 26 December 1922. He was ordained as a priest on 12 December 1948. He was appointed bishop of Viedma, Río Negro, on 5 April 1975, ordained on 4 June and installed on 8 July of the same year, at the age of 52.
