Carl Ferdinand Cori
Carl Ferdinand Cori, ForMemRS was a Czech-American biochemist and pharmacologist born in Prague who, together with his wife Gerty Cori and Argentine physiologist Bernardo Houssay, received a Nobel Prize in 1947 for their discovery of how glycogen – a derivative of glucose – is broken down and resynthesized in the body, for use as a store and source of energy. In 2004, both were designated a National Historic Chemical Landmark in recognition of their work that elucidated carbohydrate metabolism.

Jean Marie Joseph Philippe was a French Dominican priest. Along with Jean Vanier, he co-founded the communities of L'Arche, an organisation which helps support people with mental disabilities. Both he and Vanier were later found to be sexual abusers.

Rudi Fehr
Rudolf "Rudi" Fehr, A.C.E. was a German-born, American film editor and studio executive. He had more than thirty credits as an editor of feature films including Key Largo (1946), Dial M for Murder (1954), and Prizzi's Honor (1985). He worked for more than forty years for the Warner Brothers film studio, where he was the Head of Post-production from 1955 through 1976. Fehr was instrumental in establishing the 1967 "sister city" connection between Los Angeles and Berlin, which he had fled in the 1930s.
