Marcel Gromaire was a French painter. He painted many works on social subjects, and is often associated with Social Realism, but Gromaire can be said to have created an independent oeuvre distinct from groups and movements.

Robert Alan Minkler was an American sound engineer. He won an Oscar for Best Sound and was nominated for another in the same category. He worked on more than 50 films between 1957 and 1992. Minkler died of respiratory failure at his home in Oregon.

Khwaja Shahabuddin was a Bengali politician who was a minister in the Government of Pakistan and member of the Dhaka Nawab family. He is also the younger brother of Pakistani Premier Sir Khwaja Nazimuddin and the father of Bangladeshi Lieutenant-General Khwaja Wasiuddin

Pat Quinlan (1919–1997) was an Irish Army officer who commanded the Irish UN force that fought at the Siege of Jadotville in Katanga in 1961, and surrendered when they ran out of ammunition and other supplies. Despite the initial lack of recognition for the events leading up to the surrender, following Quinlan's death his reputation in Ireland was restored.

Captain Thomas Pitt Hamilton Cholmondeley, 4th Baron Delamere, styled The Honourable Thomas Cholmondeley from birth until 1931, was a British peer. Popularly known as Tom Delamere, he lived on and owned the vast estate known as Soysambu Ranch in Kenya.
