Isa Pola was an Italian stage and film actress. She appeared in more than 30 films during her career. One of her early screen roles was the female lead in Steel (1933), a realist film set in the steelworking industry.

Alekos Michaelides was a Cypriot politician. He served as Foreign Minister, and as President of the House of Representatives from 1977 to 1981.

Suzanne Dolores Luckey was an American actress, best known for her roles in the musical films Carousel, released in 1956, and The Music Man, which opened in 1962. She was born in Hollywood, California, where her father was a sound editor in the film industry.

Gustavo Martínez Frías was the Archbishop of Nueva Pamplona, Colombia. Martínez Frías was appointed Archbishop of Nueva Pamplona by Pope John Paul II on March 18, 1999 and installed on May 6, 1999. He remained Archbishop until his death on August 29, 2009, at the age of 74.

Bernard Childs (1910-1985) was an artist who worked in Paris and New York. He was primarily a painter and printmaker, and pioneered the direct engraving of metal plates with power tools. As a kind of counterpoint to his many layered work, which is often symbolic and a fusion of abstraction and figuration, in 1959 he also started painting portraits. Childs' formal interests were line and space, light and color, and the dialogue of contrasting elements.
