He was rated the second-best striker in the history of Al-Nassr Football club after Majed Abdullah, and the top scorer for the first Saudi league championship. He was born in Ta'if, Saudi Arabia.

He acted in Hollywood films after the war. He was one of very few U.S. Marines to go into combat in Europe during World War II, and one of the most decorated Marine officers of the war.
