Claus Peter Ortlieb, born 1 May 1947 in Reinbek, died on 15 September 2019, was a German mathematician (PhD), critic of work, critic of political economy, and a critic of contemporary science, especially regarding its use of mathematics. As well as an editor for the journal EXIT!.

Pierino Favalli was an Italian road cyclist. As an amateur he won the road race at the 1934 national championships and finished third at the 1936 World Championships. He competed in the individual and team road race events at the 1936 Summer Olympics and placed seventh and fourth, respectively. After the Olympics he turned professional and won the Milano–Torino race in 1938–40 and Milan–San Remo race in 1941, finishing second in 1937–38 and 1942. He also won one stage in the 1940 Giro d'Italia.

Akira Nagoya was a Japanese actor. Nagoya was an actor who specialized in playing comical roles. He is known for playing the role of Yūtarō Asahina in the tokusatsu superhero series Ultraman Taro.

Ahmad Aladdin Arslan was a Jordanian military leader of Chechen descent. He attained the rank of Major General. He was the only officer to have received the Jordanian Order of Military Gallantry "Wisam al-Iqdam al-Askari" twice. He was famous for leading the response to the 1976 terrorist attack on the Amman InterContinental Hotel.

Philip David Charles Leacock was an English television and film director and producer. His brother was documentary filmmaker Richard Leacock.
