Earl Baldwin was an American screenwriter. During his career he wrote more than 50 produced screenplays, including Wild Boys of the Road, Brother Orchid, and Abbott and Costello's Africa Screams.

Bob Cowley Riley was an American educator and politician who served as Acting Governor of Arkansas for 11 days in 1975. He had previously been a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1947 to 1951, Mayor of Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1966 and 1967, as well as the 12th Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas from 1971 to 1975. Riley wore a black eyepatch because of an injury sustained in World War II.

Adolf Süsterhenn (1905–1974) was a German constitutional lawyer and politician. He worked on the state constitution for Rhineland-Palatinate and was on the Parlamentarischer Rat, which drafted the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany. He was born on May 31, 1905, in Cologne and was Minister for Culture and Justice in Rhineland-Palatinate between 1946 and 1951 for Christian Democratic Union of Germany. He also served on the European Commission of Human Rights from 1954 to 1973. He died in Cologne on November 24, 1974, at the age of 69.

Abdel-Kader Zaaf was a French cyclist. He participated four times in the Tour de France, for the first time in 1948, and then in 1950, 1951 and for the last time in 1952. He finished in last place in the 1951 Tour de France.
