Assad Bucaram Elmhalin was an Ecuadorian politician of Lebanese descent, he occupied positions as city Councilor and later of Mayor of Guayaquil. He was elected a Deputy for the province of Guayaquil and was later appointed President of the National Assembly of Ecuador.

Carmelo Pompilio Realino Antonio Bene, known as Carmelo Bene was an Italian actor, poet, film director and screenwriter. He was an important exponent of the Italian avant-garde theatre and cinema. He died of a heart ailment in 2002.

Isabel Jewell was an American actress active in the 1930s and early 1940s. Some of her more famous films were Ceiling Zero, Marked Woman, A Tale of Two Cities, and Gone with the Wind.

Cordy Milne was an American international motorcycle speedway rider who finished third in the 1937 Speedway World Championship final, behind his brother Jack and second placed Wilbur Lamoreaux. All three riders came from Pasadena, California.
