Reginald Norman Morgan Empey, Baron Empey,, best known as Reg Empey, is a British politician who was the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party from 2005 to 2010, and has been its chairman since 2012. Empey was also twice Lord Mayor of Belfast and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly for East Belfast from 1998 to 2011.

Thomas Martin Lowry was an English physical chemist who developed the Brønsted–Lowry acid–base theory simultaneously with and independently of Johannes Nicolaus Brønsted and was a founder-member and president (1928–1930) of the Faraday Society.

Georges Leygues was a French politician of the Third Republic. During his time as Minister of Marine he worked with the navy's chief of staff Henri Salaun in unsuccessful attempts to gain naval re-armament priority for government funding over army rearmament such as the Maginot Line.

Emil Damirovich Sayfutdinov is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider and member of the Russian national teams. He won the 2007 and 2008 Under-21 World Championship, and is a two-time winner of the European Championships in 2014, 2015. Sayfutdinov has also won Speedway of Nations with Russia two-times, in 2018, 2019. He is a permanent rider of the 2019 Speedway Grand Prix. He has won seven Grand Prix.

David Roy Gavitt was an American college basketball coach and athletic director at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. He was also well known as the first commissioner of the Big East Conference and as part of the committee which created the 1992 Olympic basketball "Dream Team".

Jakub Šimon Jan Ryba was a Czech teacher and composer of classical music. His most famous work is Czech Christmas Mass "Hey, Master!".
